I had the honor of interviewing Master Ming Hai, Abbot of Bailin Temple.

In 2004 Ming Hai became one of the youngest abbots in China. He is the abbot of Bailin monastery where there are at least ten thousand year old cedar trees as well as a pagoda built in the 13th century to honor the great Zen master Zhao Zhou who lived at Bailin from the time he was 80 to 120 years old and is buried there.
